This study concerns a protected area in northern Greece and examines how local people’s occupation influences their perception of environmental impacts and their views and information about the area. The target groups were local residents that (a) were employed in the primary sector, (b) were...
Environmental Regulation, Industrial Structure and Low-Carbon Development
General
In this paper, the provincial panel data of china from the year 2006 to 2019 are used to analyze the association among environmental regulations, industrial structure od industries and low-carbon development. The results show that regional industrial CO2 emissions in China's east, center, and west...
Innate Immune System Response Against Environmental Temperature Changes as A Dangerous Abiotic Factor
CLEANWAS
Innate immune system is the first line response against environmental changes in invertebrate. It protects the animal from environmental changes such as temperature change, PH and salinity as well as pathogens such as bacteria and viruses through different biochemical pathways. In fact, the innate...
Environmental Management Approaches and Water Resources in the stessed region of Thriassion, Greece
General
The present attempt has a two prong-emphasis. On the one hand it demarcates the physical, structural, social and economic parameters and the eliciting environmental problems in Thriassion Plain, the main industrial area of metropolitan Athens, Greece. On the other hand it attempts to delineate a...
Perceptions of Environmental Sustainability and Luxury: Influences on Organic Food Buying Behavior among Millennials and Generation Z in Greece
Ecology, environmental change and management
The generational cohorts known as Millennials and Generation Z exhibit distinct behaviors and attitudes, differing significantly from older generations in various aspects including environmental perceptions and purchasing behaviors. Notably, organic foods are sometimes associated with luxury, as...
An Environmental Impact Assessment Decision Analysis System for Irrigation Systems
General
In this paper an Environmental Impact Assessment Multicriteria Decision Analysis System for irrigation projects (EIAMDAS) used as a comprehensive tool that enables comparison between irrigation project alternatives is presented. The comparison is based upon all relevant aspects of the surrounding...
Environmental regulation, hog scale production and the synergy of pollution control and carbon reduction
Environmental Management and Policies
The synergy of pollution control and carbon reduction is conducive to promoting the green transformation of the economy. Based on China’s 30 provincial administrative panel data from 2002 to 2020, using the elastic concept to measure the synergy index and the panel fixed effect model to carry out...
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY OF RENEWABLE ENERGY INDUSTRY UNDER OPEN CONDITIONS
CLEANWAS
Renewable energy has two environmental externalities: one is the positive externality as an alternative to fossil energy consumption; the other is the negative externality with its production process consuming fossil energy. If the domestic renewable energy products export to foreign country with...
Evaluating Environmental Efficiency of Turkish Cities by Data Envelopment Analysis
Environmental Management and Policies
Turkey is a developing country and has achieved impressive economic development in recent years. But this rapid growth has brought in many environmental problems in Turkish cities, such as air pollution, water pollution etc. In order to eliminate these problems, environmental performances of the...
Do Technological Innovation and Environmental Regulation Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emissions? Evidence from China
Ecology, environmental change and management
The Chinese industry holds a significant position in the national economy. However, industrial carbon dioxide (CO 2) emissions account for a large proportion of the total CO 2 emissions, which has a negative impact on the environment. To identify the factors affecting industrial CO 2 emissions, a...
