Digital transformation and agricultural green economic resilience in China: A moderating and threshold analysis

Enhancing the degree of the resilience of agricultural green economics is a critical point in realizing sustainable agricultural development, and the digital economy provides new chance for enhancing the standard of agricultural green economic resilience. This article empirically analyzes the influence of digital economy on agricultural green economic resilience and its system according to the construction of the theoretical framework of digital economy affecting the resilience of agricultural green economics, using the provincial time-series cross-sectional data of China from 2012 to 2022. The empirical findings show that (1) The digital economy has a notable positive influence on agricultural green economic resilience. (2) Agricultural industrial agglomeration, as a moderating variable, can strengthen the enhancement of the digital economy on agricultural green economic resilience. (3) Rural human capital plays a certain threshold role, and when the degree of rural human capital reaches the threshold, the enhancement of the digital economy on agricultural green economic resilience will be further enhanced. Therefore, this article proposes to improve the digital economy advancement environment in countryside zones, further adjust the layout of agricultural industrial resources, enhance the degree of rural human capital and other recommendations to facilitate the coordinated growth of the digital economy, and hasten the actualization of the strategic target of a strong agricultural country.
