Dr. Ahmad Hussain is working as Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences since 2022 at DHA Suffa University, Karachi, Pakistan.  Dr Hussain is also a Professor of Mechanical Engineering specializing in the area of Thermofluids, pyrolysis and combustion.. Dr. Hussain also served a as Director Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at SZABIST University. Dr. Ahmad has a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from NED University which he did in 1989. After completing the Masters in Nuclear Engineering from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, he joined Karachi Institute of Power Engineering in 1991 which is affiliated with PIEAS, Islamabad. In 2002, he was awarded Commonwealth Scholarship for Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Hussain joined King Abdulaziz University, KSA in January 2011. During his stay at KAU he secured a number of research grants on a number of applied projects. Later on he was actively involved in the ABET accreditation process. Dr. Ahmad has more than 130 papers published in peer reviewed international journals, presented in numerous national and international conferences, in addition to holding prestigious merit scholarships and postgraduate awards.  Dr. Ahmad is also member of various professional bodies like ASME, IASTED, ANS, SPE etc. Dr. Hussain has also worked as Tenure Track Professor at NED University, Karachi.   Dr. Hussain has more than 19 years of post Ph.D experience and a total teaching/research experience of 33 years.
