The influence of microscale and mesoscale meteorology on the local scale variation of air temperature cannot be correctly simulated by the coarse resolution Global Climate Models. The scope of this work is to develop a hybrid dynamic-statistical downscaling procedure and quantify its predictive...
Assessment of future climate change impacts in a Mediterranean aquifer
Climate change
The Mediterranean region is predicted to be highly impacted by climate change and the availability of water resources is expected to decrease. This study aims to assess the potential impact of climate change in an aquifer located in Northeastern Greece, for the period 2041-2070. For this, climate...
Assessment Of Rainfall Pattern And Future Change For Kelantan River Basin, Malaysia Using Statistically Downscaled Local Climate Models
Environmental data analysis and modelling

Statistical downscaled local climate model for future rainfall changes analysis: A case study of Hyogo prefecture, Japan
Environmental data analysis and modelling
For decades, climate models have been used to understand the present and historical climates, especially global climate models (GCMs). They are used to understand the interaction between climate system processes and forecast future climates. However, the issue of low resolution and accuracy often...
Investigation of climate change impacts on tourism climate comfort in Iran
General
In this study, Mieczkowski's Tourism Climate Index (TCI) was used for Iran to investigate the climate change impacts on outdoor human comfort. The long-term data covering a network of 153 stations were used to compute TCI under baseline conditions (1981–2015) and a climate change scenario (HadCM3...
Assessment of hydrological response in Subarnarekha river basin under anticipated climate change scenarios
Hydrology and Water Resources Management
Two hydrological climate modelling techniques, general circulation model (GCM) and hypothetical climate change scenarios, were used to analyse the hydrological response to the anticipated climate change scenarios in the Subarnarekha river basin in Eastern India. Both models verified individually for...
Quantification of climate-tourism potential for Athens, Greece – Recent and future climate simulations
Climate change
The aim of this paper is to present in a useful and understandable way how climatic change could be interpreted for tourism and recreation. Future climate change conditions are analyzed using the Climate Version of the Local Model (CLM) based on the COSMO model, which is currently used – among other...
The Impact of Climate Change on the Development of Circular Economy in China: A Perspective on Green Total Factor Productivity
